The summer is still going strong in Berlin. It is warm, sunny and the park near our apartment is filled with people. September seems to be much nicer than August and parts of July. Nevertheless, some people in Germany are very strict about rules, and one of these rules is the end of summer just about now.
In every store, you can find Lebkuchen, winter clothes and even Christmas decoration. The outside movie season is over, swimming pools are closed and let's not forget - it is September. This must mean that there is no way to escape the unavoidable. Winter is around the corner. We might as well go and put on our winter jackets right now, because it is the right thing to do this time of the year.

Well, I have decided to keep walking around in shorts. It is kind of funny to be wearing shorts and munching on some Lebkuchen stars. In fact, once it starts snowing I'll get out my sunglasses and T-shirts. I wonder if people here will think this is just as normal as pretending to have winter in the middle of summer.
